How to Make Money as an Amazon Influencer 12

Amazon Influencer

Woo hoo, I am so excited!

Apparently, I have reached “influencer” status.

I say that jokingly as I’ve never considered myself to be (or have even attempted to be) an influencer of any kind. Except hopefully where my kids are concerned – ha ha.

I just recently was accepted as an Amazon Influencer and would love to share my storefront page with you at:

What is the Amazon Influencer Program?

This fairly new program is a more exclusive version of Amazon’s successful affiliate program which I’m sure many of you are already familiar with. Amazon created it for social media influencers who make money online. Amazon realized that people buy from individuals they know, like and trust.

The Amazon Influencer Program allows you to create a free storefront on Amazon filled with a variety of recommended products chosen by you. You are given own vanity URL. When a referral makes a qualifying purchase using your link, you earn a commission.

This is my storefront URL:

The program is a win-win for the influencer and for Amazon. Amazon offers many social sharing tips for all platforms. Commissions can be generous depending on the product purchased.

How to Join the Program

In order to become an Amazon Influencer, you must have a social media presence on at least one of the following:

• YouTube
• Facebook
• Twitter
• Instagram

An incredibly large following is no longer necessary. Amazon’s Influencer Program will now also approve micro-influencers and nano-influencers. When you apply, they will check out your metrics and how engaged followers are on your social media account.

If your application is approved, you will receive a link to set up your storefront. Amazon states that it could take several days, but I was accepted in less than 24 hours.

You will want to customize your storefront before you start sharing your link. Be sure to upload a personal cover photo to replace the default one provided. This is what my cover photo looks like:

Rather than just having one long list of products in your storefront, customize it for your relevant niche by creating multiple lists with different categories. These are the categories that I’m currently using on my storefront page:

• Office Supplies
• Electronics
• Coffee Lovers
• Books
• Software

The Amazon Influencer Program is a great way to make money online by sharing products you recommend. With Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the holidays just around the corner, now would be a good time to sign up as an Amazon Influencer.

Get started HERE.

Don’t worry… if you don’t qualify right away, you can always try again later when your social media statistics have improved.

Interesting. We are an affiliate- but should probably change to an influencer. Since we use our link to promote books we think our clients should read (and OWN, of course!)

Wow! I had no idea this was a “thing”. I LOVE to recommend books to my followers, and it’d be great to have them all in one place (and even make a little money from it). Thanks so much for putting this together!

I just found out about it, Jace. It’s a fairly new thing. It would be great for recommending books to your followers.

This was very informative. I didn’t know any of this, maybe I’ll apply to be an Amazon influencer myself. Thanks!
